South Lake Tahoe Weddings

Location, Location, Location! Having a wedding in South Lake Tahoe is all about the backdrop of jaw dropping amazing scenery!  Here are a few amazing locations to think about.

Regan Beach Park

Regan Beach Park is the perfect location for year-around breathtaking wedding photography. The park is located directly on the shore of Lake Tahoe. This romantic setting is blessed with one of the premiere views of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Regan Beach Park is on the west end of South Lake Tahoe's beautiful El Dorado Beach. This gorgeous grassy park above a sandy beach offers spectacular views of the amazing blue green waters of Lake Tahoe. Regan Park is blessed to be in the midst of old growth Jeffry Pine Forest. For your wedding the shade of these 100 year old pines makes for pleasant summer days and fantastic photographic opportunities. Regan Park West is leased by the city of South Lake Tahoe. The fee for a two hour wedding time slot is $300.00. Similar venues on the shores of Lake Tahoe can be extremely pricey. Regan Beach Park has a capacity for 80 wedding guests. Heavenly Valley

Enjoy the beauty of a mountaintop wedding overlooking the whole of the lake. Winter or Summer, you may take Heavenly Valley's Gondola up to the observation deck to make your vows... navigate the slopes on skis... or stroll the valley with refreshments during the warm months. The Gondola will take directly back down to the Nevada casinos for an evening of honeymoon fun and entertainment.

The Thunderbird Lodge

Elegant, historic, and inspiring, the Thunderbird Lodge opened it's doors to one of South Lake Tahoe's most magnificent weddings. Arriving by boat and limo the wedding party and guests were granted an opportunity to enjoy one of Tahoe's treasures. A mid afternoon ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the mountains and the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, gave just the right feeling for this one of a kind wedding. The couple followed Tahoe wedding tradition by tossing a flower bloom into the blue waters at the end of the ceremony in honor of those who could not be there.

With all the wedding planning don’t forget about your family’s accommodations.  Family’s get together so rarely sometimes, why not put them up all together under the same roof.  That way while you are off doing the last minute wedding touches your family will have more time to catch up with each other.  Black Bart House would be a perfect vacation rental for any of your guests. 

Wedding receptions or wedding services are allowed at the Black Bart House. There is a 3 night minimum stay and there is a $500 surcharge to allow a wedding or reception at Black Bart House.

House rules during a wedding reception or wedding service:

No more than 40 people are allowed at the home day or night

Festivities have to stop by 9 pm (per Lake Tahoe Vacation Home ordinance)

There will be a $1000 refundable security deposit.
